CCARC
Founded in 1952 by a group of concerned parents, CCARC is a private, nonprofit (501 c 3) organization offering support to more than 200 adults with intellectual disabilities through our Day Services as well as eleven group homes located in communities throughout the Greater New Britain area. Over the years, CCARC has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience offering personalized services to people with multiple developmental and physical disabilities including those who are deaf or hard of hearing and/or blind.
CCARC’s Mission is to “Make Dreams Happen.” Each one of us understands how important it can be to benefit from meaningful work, enjoyable social activities, worthwhile friendships and a stable, nurturing home life. People with intellectual disabilities treasure the very same hopes and dreams. It is CCARC’s privilege to assist in paving the way for individuals with intellectual disabilities to experience a life that is satisfying in all of these most basic ways.
At CCARC we truly believe “All people have the right to choose their place in the world.” Each person’s health, safety and overall well-being are of primary importance, as is their personal dignity and preferences.
