Greater New Britain Chamber of Commerce announces new President: Dee Babkirk

From a recent email announcement from the Greater New Britain Chamber of Commerce:

“Meet our new President Dee Babkirk

Dee Babkirk brings to the Greater New Britain Chamber of Commerce an extensive background within the chambers of commerce world. Her passion started in 2004 and has continued making her one of the most experienced representatives of business networking organizations. Throughout the years she has created many successful events that are still generating a significant impact on the business community. Networking, fundraising, sponsorships, community outreach are some of the many skills that she has developed during her career.

Dee also has extensive experience with the manufacturing industry. She has been the Executive Director of two manufacturing associations – CTMA (CT Tooling & Machining Association) and NESMA (New England Spring & Metalstamping Association) for seven years. During this time, she participated in legislative committees addressing the concerns of the Connecticut manufacturers and contributed to creating the Connecticut Manufacturers’ Collaborative (CMC).

Her background also includes corporate event management, marketing and sales and membership acquisition.
